Great experience. Highly recommend during the summer as the catacombs are really cold!
We were late but they were still able to accommodate us. Almost no other tourist were around so it was really nice and private.

It was my first time visiting catacombs and I found their structure and history very impressive and the guide Alberto was great 👍. It’s 15 degrees Celsius round the year though so do dress up well when visiting.
Great tour by a member of the clergy. Had visual aids and great information on the history. It is a religious site so be prepared to cover shoulders and knees (good idea anyway because it is chilly down there!)

Excellent tour. These catacombs are clean, well restored and large. Great storytelling from our guide and lots of interesting things to look at for both kids and adults.
Really worth it. So cheap compared to other Rome activities but is such a different feel.

We enjoyed venturing outside the main part of Rome to see the Catacombs. Very interesting tour! Our teens really liked it, too. It was a great way to beat the heat in July for a unique adventure.
It was a great tour with a great tour guide. One can tell she was knowledgeable about the catacombs and some back stories. It was short but sweet. Highly recommend.

The experience was really good, the guide was also very good and informative. Overall the tour was good, the history behind it and the fact they dug so deep. Well worth a visit.
I expected it to be an underground refuge that persecuted Christians used as a hiding place, but I found out it was used just as a graveyard. Apart from that, the visit was nice and the guide's explenation was clear and informative.
Not to everybody's taste but tour really put us in touch with early Christianity and their customs. My mind struggled to comprehend the human effort required to excavate the passages and tomb spaces with disposal of spoil through the volcanic rock from 200 to 300AD onwards. Guide was excellent, answered questions, command of English language excellent.
Was a very interesting tour and covered so much history- our guide was very knowledgeable and were really glad we experienced it.
Perhaps make it clearer where to catch the bus from in St Giovanni after the metro and exactly where to get off at the catacombs.
The guide was very knowledgeable and the place was amazing.
Great experience. Would definitely recommend going. Unfortunate the location is out of the way but it made it less touristy. It would help with more signs (Google maps says the catacomb is before the actual entrance so keep walking)
English guide very poor english speaker… second tour alwqys behind us so you car hear two guides speaking, afcourse diferente launguage….. i dont recomed 20€ for taxi one way to see this catacombes….
