Castel Sant'Angelo Entry Ticket with Audio Guide
General information about the ticket
Castel Sant'Angelo stands on the right bank of the Tiber, at the end of a bridge lined with Bernini's angels, and this ticket takes you from its ancient core up to the roof terrace. Built as Emperor Hadrian's mausoleum in the second century, the cylinder went on to serve as a fortress, a papal refuge and a prison, and it now holds the Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo with its collections of arms, ceramics and Renaissance painting.
The downloadable audio guide app comes with the ticket, so you keep your own pace and still get the story of each level as you climb the spiral ramp toward the Terrazza dell'Angelo.
